Frequently asked questions
How do I change uppercase to lowercase without retyping?
Paste the text above, select lowercase and press Copy result. It takes a few seconds and works on any device.
Does converting to lowercase remove accents?
No. Accented letters stay accented: “ÉTÉ” becomes “été” and “AÇÃO” becomes “ação”.
Is there a keyboard shortcut to change case?
In Microsoft Word, Shift + F3 cycles through cases. Most other apps don't have one, which is why an online converter is useful.
